Description

In this webinar, Michelle Garcia Winner, the founder of Social Thinking, discusses the evidence-informed Social Thinking - Social Competency Model. This model is a way to think about a four-step developmental process to help educators and therapists better support their students and clients. These four steps begin with organizing one’s social attention to interpret the thoughts and emotions of self and others to problem solve, make decisions, and decide on the social responses that best meet one’s social goals. Michelle discusses how teaching frameworks and vocabulary can be used in teaching, including lessons about becoming a Social Detective and using superflexible thinking. A previously recorded question & answer session follows the presentation.

After you have watched the webinar, you may download the Certificate of Completion for your records. Unfortunately, our webinars are not pre-approved for continuing education units.
